Where in the States are the Amors?
Colorado

We spent a few days in the Denver area visiting friends and Cadence headquarters. Highlights: staying with our Malachi Director and family…Alethia had a blast playing with Moyra, a picnic and walk with my step-sister Angie and family…we just don’t get to see each other often enough, an evening with our dear friends the Grahams…with the added bonus of getting to see Emily, and a delightful time at the Denver Children’s Museum…a little pricey, but well-worth a visit! The Children’s Museum was great for any age kid and even Masami had plenty to do. Alethia’s favorite part was the play Whole Foods market where she got to fill her little cart with produce and cartons of food, then go through the check-out. All the kids were very committed to playing it out and taking turns scanning the food and then bagging it. It was a great time to really focus on our kids and give them the attention they need.

Next we headed down to Colorado Springs for two days. We had a great evening with the Weatherford family. They wanted to host a home meeting for us to share our ministry with their friends, however, they were on the verge of leaving for vacation and it didn’t work out. So, Beth had the idea to host a dinner and skype us in. We are hoping to plan it for later this summer and see how it goes. If it works out, this might be a great way to connect with potential ministry partners who we are not able to visit in person. Beth was so encouraging and gave us the morale boost we needed.

We stayed with my Aunt and Uncle while in the Springs. They were great at hosting us and showing us around. We got to walk through the Garden of the Gods and see Helen Hunt waterfall. Alethia had so much fun running around with Cameron (my second cousin) and keeping tabs on where the dogs were (all 4 of them). We were hoping to do a home meeting with them, but it just didn’t work out.

We hit the road on Saturday evening. We are driving through the night to Parsons, KS. Hoping the kids sleep through it.
